…wait…did I mention I have Al Green tickets??

Well as you may have noticed I have Al Green tickets for the Clyde Auditorium on the 31st of October. As you can imagine I am very excited due to my excessive love of soul music!

If you want tickets you better get moving because based on where my tickets are the room looks as if it’s filling up quickly!

For those that do not know who Al Green is, firstly you should be shot in the face and ears but secondly you sooo do know who he is with songs like stay together and and simply beautiful! Uber classic tracks! He is known as the Reverend Al Green now, apparently he is a religious man now.
So if you like his stuff you can get it here for cheap.

OK, I do believe in the whole reduce your carbon foot print thing and due to excessive price of oil I have been driving at 50 mph in order to save on fuel. It actually works I can get up to 60 miles extra if I do this, so it save me quite a bit.

However, in saying this I feel that I have increased my chances of dying in a road accident (this says alot considering I also drive a motorcycle). Why is this you ask? Because every arsehole and their mother drives at 50 mph. Let me take a moment and define arsehole; an arsehole, in the driving sense, is someone that can’t make decisions or are hesitant to when driving on the road. This particular type of ‘arsehole’ is the one that indicates for about 25 seconds before moving into the lane by which time the ‘arsehole’ has missed their opportunity to move into the lane.

What this arsehole does not realize is the impact they have on all of the other traffic. For instance because they are hesitating the bus that is in the lane which they want to get into has become frustrated and try to get in behind the arsehole, this frustration has caused the bus driver to neglect his mirrors and almost plow into the car coming up behind the arsehole. (True story)

To summerise, although driving at 50 mph is good for your pocket and the environment it puts your life in danger.

Flying Lotus Los Angeles, Warps newest addition

I recently got the Flying Lotus Los Angeles album after having it recommended to me by Maceo Wyro who was playing at Patefon on the Sat 21st of June. After many conversations with Maceo Wyro I realized that we shared alot in common when it came to our musical tastes. So I decided to take him up on the recommendation, and this is what I thought.

The album is amazing, quite simply! With it’s strange mix of electronic sounds and harmonics with hip hop beats the album lets you chill out and tune in at the same time.

Some of the earlier tracks in the album are atmospheric and as the album goes on it becomes a bit more beat lead, it’s a nice wee progression.

You will probably hear me talk alot about ‘Sunday Morning Albums’ well people, Flying Lotus Los Angeles is the first of the year!

You can pick up Flying Lotus Los Angeles CD and vinyl at amazon.co.uk for the same price but I must say if you do like your vinyl you should get this one, its sleeve is impressive!
