So I made it to London!

It’s been in a couple of weeks

I am only now starting to remember my second night out in London, which involved a trip to Fabric. I warn you, this is a short post because of the lack of information I can remember.

Got the train to Farringdon, got a beer, went to the club, got cupped by a MALE bouncer and got really drunk to the point were I can’t remember anything.

Next thing I remember is refusing to get in the taxi home and being (appropriately) left where I stood. After that I remember being on a bridge while the sun was coming up and receiving a text (as if from god) with a London taxi company number! Who can guess what the next challenge was? That’s right, where the F***! was I heading. It took a while to figure this out but I finally did it…I thought I had all the information I required to get back to HQ.

However I forget one very important fact, where was I? I knew I was in London. Trying to explain to the, extremely nice and patient, taxi driver where I was using the shapes of buildings was not working at all! So, I walked around until my stupid eyes could find a sign that I could both read and pronounce, this took while.

In the end the taxi driver man picked me up at Aldwych and I got back to my cousins.
I can only remember half of the night which was pretty eventful, I can only imagine what the other half was like!

Getting to London

The Trip To London, Part 1 - Trains To London!

So, I’m making my way down to London to PARTY! The Notting Hill carnival is this weekend and I plan to participate in it fully, with a warm up session at Fabric.

I’m writing this while waiting in the airport, yes the airport, this is strange as I planned on getting the train to London for the very first time. This phase of the plan has not panned out the way I had thought it would have. After a frantic evening before my journey (frantic because I chose to go see Hell Boy 2 instead of packing for my 6 am train) I made it to Queen St station just in time for the train. After planting my ass on the seat I did my final ‘have I got everything’ check, I noticed that I was missing my bank card, PANIC!, as I like to at least have the option of drinking and eating when I’m on holiday!

After getting my brother to look around the house and card for my bank card to no success I decided to go back home with a feeling of defeat! I had no money and had now missed my trains to London; I got home and started stamping around the house trying to find my card it wasn’t anywhere. I did pick it up and by some evil twist of fate I had lost it in the brief journey between my house and the train station. Bed seemed like the only option, I need to chill out; “You won’t like me when I’m mad”.

After a brief snooze I woke up and headed to the bank to get my money (right now I’m carrying a wad of cash, not good when you look list a tourist), I got home and book a flight to Gatwick (small fortune) I was not letting this beat me. I have a burning need to get out of Glasgow for a few days, I can’t really explain it but nothing was going to get in the road of my wee trip!

So, here I am sitting waiting for this F’n plane to board so that I can “party and get it crunk!”, one final annoyance, as if the day has not been irritating enough, the bar isn’t open and I’m dying for a cold beer! Grrrr

Today’s Music choice: Al Green as it has ‘chillax’ qualities!

Stay tuned for Pt.2
